Snow Gallery is pleased to serve as guest curator of a special exhibit of historical art at HA Gallery, 1506 8th Avenue South, Nashville, TN. The exhibit will include 18th-century copper engravings, 19th-century steel engravings, original European portfolio drawings & cartoons from the 1860s, late 19th-century photographs of historic Italian architecture as well as some surprises from our collection of historical art. All the works in the exhibition display archival frames created by the expert professional HA staff. Of special interest to collectors are the classic works by such important artists as Piranesi, Carracci and Hogarth along with copper engravings from Bernard de Montfaucon's L'Antiquité Expliquée et Représentée en Figures (Paris, 1722.) These very handsome pieces, many of which feature classical architectural subjects, suit varied settings and are an exceptional value.In addition to the framed art on exhibit, there will be bins filled with unframed antique drawings, prints and photographs also available for your selection.
